Information is received by E-LERTER servers through many means; these include E-LERTER Pro, E-LERTER Business and trusted sources websites, such as Amber Alerts, Emergency Services, The Weather Network, Environment Canada, RCMP, Police, Missing Persons and many more. Once received, the notification is immediately broadcasted to affected users smartphones.

*PLEASE NOTE: the E-LERTER system relies on information from outside sources, therefore, notifications are dependent on the delivery of the information to E-LERTER servers. Also, the app requires wifi or cellular data, as well as GPS/Location Services being enabled to deliver notifications. If the device is shut off or not connected to a data service, the notification will be delivered once the device is powered on or the data network is restored.

*Also, E-ELERTER Pro is a free emergency notification system provided to municipalities, cities, schools, hospitals and emergency services providers. In the event that your local entity has not subscribed to this service, certain notifications may not be delivered. Please check with your local emergency services providers for more information.
