Displays The Different Manifestations of Violence Hidden in Everyday Life.

The Colima Institute of Women has developed the “Digital Violentometer”, an application for mobile devices that consists of an interactive test that serves to visualize the different manifestations of violence that are hidden in everyday life and that often confuse or ignore.

It is a useful tool that allows you to be alert to detect and attend this type of practices, it can be of great benefit for both educational institutions and family and workplaces. It is divided into 27 (from 0 to 26) levels of violence, which position you one of the following alert situations:

Level 0 Congratulations! Your relationship is respectful

Level 1 - Level 10 Be careful! Violence will increase

Level 11 - Level 20 React! Do not let yourself be destroyed

Level 21 - Level 25 You need professional help!

Level 26 too late!

The manifestations of violence shown in the material are not necessarily consecutive, but can be experienced interspersed. However, in this material a scale of gradual violence is simulated, where it begins by pointing out the most subtle manifestations, later the most obvious and, in the last item, the most extreme manifestations.

The application was developed by CVG Consulting as part of the project “For a society free from violence against women” of the support program for the instances of women in the federative entities (Paimef 2014).
