Gen 8 includes 89 new Pokémon which will be gradually released into Pokémon Go .

This collection includes new legendaries, the three starter Pokémon and Galar variants.
Below you can find some interesting facts which help make Gen 8 unique amongst the other Pokémon generations:
The Max Out Season is here. The new global event, Wild Area, is nearly here and In the Wild is our lead-up event, which includes the global release of Toxel. You can now catch Dynamax Pokémon through Max Battles.
It's also important to note that a non-Galarian version of a Pokémon will not have the option to evolve into the specific Galarian evolution. This means, for example, you can't evolve a Kanto Meowth into a Perrserker.
We'll have to wait and see!
